Built on Connection, Guided by Purpose.

Motive8 is an Adelaide-based disability support and mentoring team, built on real experience and genuine care. We take the time to understand each person, their goals and their pace, before matching them with someone who actually fits, then build every session with real intention, whether that's building confidence, becoming more independent, or feeling more connected to community.

About

Small Team, by Design.

Above anything else, Motive8 is about actually knowing the people we support, not just their goals on paper, but who they are day to day. Everything else starts from there.

01

People First

Support starts with understanding who someone is day to day, what matters to them and what works best for them.

02

Better, not Bigger

Working in a tight-knit team means we bring the right people on board, with the time to genuinely understand each person we support and follow through on what actually matters to them.

03

Backed by Insight

Our team draws on backgrounds across allied health, shaping how we approach communication, routines and everyday participation, and bringing more intention to the support and mentoring we provide.

Cam — Support Worker / Mentor

Cam

Support Worker / Mentor · Co-Founder

I’m Cam. I’ve studied occupational therapy and have experience supporting people of all ages with disability across a range of settings. What genuinely drives me is building real connections with the people I work with and helping them feel more confident, capable and independent in everyday life. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me running, watching sport or spending time outdoors. I care about making sure every person we support feels valued, heard and understood, while having someone in their corner who is genuinely invested in helping them work towards the things that matter to them.

Tom — Support Worker / Mentor

Tom

Support Worker / Mentor · Co-Founder

I’m Tom. I’ve also studied occupational therapy, which shapes the way I support people, with a focus on their individual strengths, interests and the things that matter most to them. I enjoy getting to know each person properly and finding practical, enjoyable ways to build confidence and independence in everyday life. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me playing footy or basketball, or attempting a round of golf. I believe every session should have a genuine purpose behind it while still feeling relaxed, enjoyable and personal.

Belle — Support Worker / Mentor

Belle

Support Worker / Mentor

I'm Belle, and I'm currently studying Speech Pathology at the University of Adelaide. Before starting university, I spent a couple of years working in a women's health clinic, where supporting and connecting with people became the part of the job I loved most. Outside of work and study, you'll usually find me reading, going for walks, or catching up with friends over coffee. For me, good support starts with building trust. I take the time to get to know each person, move at a pace that feels comfortable for them, and value calm, honest communication along the way.

Lucy — Support Worker / Mentor

Lucy

Support Worker / Mentor

I’m Lucy. I have a background in psychology and human biology, and I currently work full-time as a cardiac technician while also training to become a Lifeline volunteer. Outside of work, I love hiking, camping, spending time at the beach and cooking for friends and family. I’ve also travelled quite a bit, which has given me the chance to meet people from many different backgrounds. I believe good support begins with listening and understanding what matters to each person. I enjoy helping people feel comfortable, build confidence and get more out of everyday experiences in a way that feels natural to them.

Will — Support Worker / Mentor

Will

Support Worker / Mentor

I’m Will. I bring a relaxed and consistent approach to mentoring, and being someone people can rely on is something I take real pride in. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me playing football or cricket, or spending time at the shack on the Yorke Peninsula with friends and family. For me, support work is about being a steady person in someone’s corner. I enjoy getting to know what motivates each person, sharing everyday experiences and helping them build confidence, independence and belief in themselves along the way.

Josh — Support Worker / Mentor

I'm Josh. I'm currently studying paramedicine, I got into support work for the chance to make a genuine difference in someone's day and help people get the most out of life. Outside of work, I compete in track events anywhere from 200m through to 1500m, into music (both playing and listening), catching a concert when I can, watching movies, and spending time with mates.

Declan — Support Worker / Mentor

Declan

Support Worker / Mentor

I'm Declan. I have four years of experience in support work and mentoring, and I studied a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science along the way. Outside of work, I'm big on staying active, basketball's a particular passion of mine. I also love getting outdoors and hiking, and travelling and meeting new people. Honestly, working with people and building real connections is what I love most about this job.

Our Approach

Skills Built Through Everyday life.

We believe confidence and independence are best built through real, everyday life, not exercises separate from it.

Every session is planned with purpose, and we check in regularly to make sure the support continues to reflect what matters most to each person.

The Right Fit

We take the time to understand each person's personality, interests and goals, then match them with a worker they'll genuinely connect with.

With People, Not For Them

Every session is something we do together, supporting people to take part, make their own choices, and build real skills along the way.

Support With Direction

Sessions are planned with real intention around what someone is actually working towards, with regular check-ins to keep that direction on track.

Confidence &  Independence

Support that builds confidence and independence over time, through everyday experiences at each person's own pace.

OUR VALUES

What we stand for.

A strengths-based approach to building confidence and independence, at a pace that suits each participant.

Every session is intentional and goal-focused. We plan with families to ensure support consistently works toward each participant's stated goals.

We communicate clearly and follow through. Participants and families can trust us to be consistent, honest, and present.

Our approach draws on allied health knowledge, applied practically through mentoring and everyday support.

Connection is the foundation of everything we do at Motive8. We take the time to genuinely understand each participant before we plan anything, so support is built around who they actually are.
